Here in Melbourne we have the good old Port Phillip Bay, lovely place with some nice shore dives but none over 6m.
And the bay with an average depth of 12m.
I was wondering if there were any Victorians that happened to know of any spots around the bay off the shore that got to 10m+
I know Mornington pier does but I wouldn't mind finding some more.

Or does anyone know about depth along the back beaches around Sorrento?

Cheers,
Sam.

queenscliffe!

on the way to queenscliffe there is a right hand turn off down a small road which takes you to a BIG old hotel on the water, swim out about 50-100m and there are depths between 8-15m there. i think its henry street you turn down off the bellarine Hwy, at the end of the road ther is a grass area for parking and suiting up then just walk down the little track to the beach and jump in.

pretty good vis normally and some nice reef drop offs which can be fun for spotting fish, stingrays etc.

Thanks DD,
Is it in swan bay, because I can see a big building on the water near a grass area but it in swan bay? I just google earthed henry st and found the street but to turn right into it you head towards swan bay.
Will check it out soon.

Cheers,
Sam
